Noel Moloney got his 2023 New Zealand Rally season off to a winning start by guiding Clinton Cunningham to victory in Saturday’s Pukekohe Car Club’s Bothwell Loop event near Te Akau.

The Skoda Fabia crew used the event as a prelude to the New Zealand Rally Championship which gets underway later this month.

“A great day at round one of the North Island Rally Series, we came first overall by 2.8secs, down to the wire. Good battle with Phil Campbell and Brianna Little. The Skoda ran faultlessly all day. Now onto rally Otago (New Zealand Rally Championship) in two weeks’ time.
