Two drivers with Kerry connections are being linked with the European Le Mans series for 2023.
The local Hollywood A-Lister Michael Fassbender has confirmed that he will contest the international motor racing series for the fourth consecutive year.
He will continue to race for the Germany-based Team Proton Competition and will share the No.93 Porsche 911 RSR-1 with Austrian Richard Lietz and Estonian Martin Rump.
He could have a new rival this year.
Lorcan Hanifan the 2021 Porsche Carrera Cup GB championship runner-up is linked with a Ferrari drive this season.
Although the entry list is not finalised just yet, Hanafin could share a Ferrari 488 GTE with Martin Perry and Jon Lancaster as part of the JMW Motorsport squad.
Lorcan is from Leeds in Britain but his father Dermot hails from Tralee where the extended family still live.
The first round of the 2023 elm is in Barcelona on April 23.
