Ardfert-based road racer Stephen Walsh is hoping to race on the Isle of Man this year.
Walsh is a regular in the Irish Classic Racing Championship.
Last year, on board his Honda 350 he contested the full Irish closed-road racing season.
This year he hopes to broaden his horizons and will place entries for Isle of Man races.
First up is the Pre-TT Classic Road Races which take place on the same programme as the Southern 100 International Road Races.
The May 26 to 28 event is based on the closed road Billowen Circuit.
In August he hopes to race on the famous 37-mile TT track – the most famous and equally terrifying motorcycle racing circuit in the world.
The Manx Grand Prix will run between August 20 and 28.
Entry lists for races on the Isle of Man can be oversubscribed and Walsh’s entries are in the hands of the organising motorcycling racing clubs.
“I had to send in a preliminary questionnaire on my racing history, I’ve that done that,” he said.
