The efforts of Kerry Motor Club bringing major events to Tralee have been praised by Tralee Chamber Alliance.
The club’s two biggest events in 2022, Déjà Vu Motorsport and The Kerry Winter Rally (which was part of an Turas mor Homecoming Kerry Festival) were both supported by the town’s business community.
In her final address of the year Chamber chief executive Colette O’Connor thanked the organisers of all events in the town this year including the two organised by Kerry Motor Club.
“For the public, the festivals and events this year broke all attendance records. Starting with the St Patrick’s Day weekend festival in March, Deja Vu Motorsport and the Food Festival both in May, the All-Ireland Homecoming, Rose of Tralee and Turas Mór Festivals – all driving huge numbers into the county capital. We are now in the middle of the Tralee The Christmas Kingdom progamme of activities, which has seen thousands come into to the town since the lights went on on Saturday November 26,” she said.
The Tralee motorsport season will get underway on April 2 next year with the Circuit of Kerry.
