Kerry Motor Club has received over 200 entries for its Banna Beach Resort Kerry Winter Rally.
The organising committee now face the daunting task of whittling that down to the 140 crews that are allowed start and a reserve list.
Only fully paid entries will be forwarded to the seeding committee.
They will apply the entry criteria as per event regulations before publishing the accepted list and reserve list.
The rally is a round of three different championships and overall and class contenders in the West Coast, Southern 4 and Kingdom of Kerry will be given priority as per regulations and provided they have paid.
There is at least six previous winners entered in the rally.
There is a strong local entry and an unprecedented list of overseas drivers, including entries from England, Wales and South Africa.

The event is one of the main events in An Turas Mor, the Kerry Homecoming Festival put on by Kerry County Council and Bord Failte.
Accommodation is at a premium in the greater Tralee area. Some crews have already provisionally booked hotels and BandB as far away as Killarney, ensuring that the whole county will benefit from the event.
The seeded list will be published late on Sunday night or early Monday morning
Please be patient with the seeding team and organising committee as their task won’t be easy.
A reminder that only paid entries will be forwarded to the seeding committee and the club did call every entrant last week to remind them of this requirement.
Just as newspapers and magazines are paid for, digital editorial content will also have to be paid for.
