Mikie O’Connor’s Bushwhacker Rally debut
Kerry Motor Club’s Mikie O’Connor JR is to make his Northern Ireland rally debut on Saturday.
The Opel Manta driver has entered the Bushwhacker Rally.
The McKelvey Asbest-s backed rally is part of the Motorsport Ireland Forestry Rally Championship and the last round of the McGrady Insurance Northern Ireland Forest Rally Challenge.

Better known as the Omagh Grand Prix, the rally will be based at the Omagh Show Grounds.
“It is my first adventure up North,” he said “It will be something different. I am looking forward to it now to be honest but I will probably get my hole opened up there but we will give it shot.”
Former British co-driving champion, Limerick’s Greg Shinnors is in the hot seat.
Other Kerry competitors in the event include co-driver Donagh Crowley who is a co-driving Gerard Lucey in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII.
Denny Greaney is on co-driving duty PJ O’Connor Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX.
Hal Lewis will have Tommy Commane in their Ford Escort Mk2.
