Pre 1919 car rally coming to Kerry in July 2023
The first of several events to mark the 120th anniversary of the Ballyfinnane Hillclimb has been already announced.
Mark your diary as July 15 next year will be a celebration of Kerry Motoring culture.
In July 1903 Charles Rolls of Rolls Royce fame won a hillclimb event in Ballyfianne.
It was the first closed-road motorsport event in Kerry.

Next several clubs in the county will come together to mark the occasion.
Already confirmed is that the Irish Veteran and Vintage Car Club will host its ninth annual Brass Brigade Rally in Tralee.
Around 50 cars, all manufactured before 1919 are expected in Tralee on the weekend of July 14 to 15.
This event is being run in association with the Kingdom Veteran, Vintage and Classic Car Club.
Both clubs will organise drives over the famous climb in mid-Kerry.
This is the first announcement of a range of events that will take place in the area to mark the occasion – more details will be released in due course.
Meanwhile, the KVCCC’s next event is a members’ only Secretary’s Scramble on September 25. This run will take in a visit to the Kilgarvan Motor Museum.
Just as newspapers and magazines are paid for, digital editorial content will also have to be paid for.
