CORK FORESTRY RALLY
The Cork Forestry Rally takes place on Sunday.
Based at the Donoughmore Community Centre the 60km event has attracted a good Kerry entry.
Moyvane’s Mike O’Connor Jnr will drive his recently acquired Opel Manta. He has entered several autocross events in the car but Sunday’s rally will be just his second outing in the ex-Jon Ballinger machine.

Mossie Costello became the first Kerry driver to win a round of the Motorsport Ireland Junior 1000 series when he took the spoils on the Ballvourney-based Moonraker Rally in July. He will compete on Sunday at the wheel of his Peugeot 107.

Co-drivers in action include Donagh Crowley who is on pacenote duty for Gérard Lucey in a Mitsubishi Lancer E9, Danny Greaney is alongside Pj O’Connor in a similar Lancer and Tommy Commane who resumes his partnership with Hal Lewis in a Ford Escort.
