A concrete post hidden in the grass put an end to Craig Breen and Paul Nagle’s Rally Estonia bid.
The M Sport Ford Puma were in a podium fight , they were fourth overall heading into stage four this morning after leading overnight following the opening spectator stage in Tartu.
They were just 5.9 seconds off leader Elfyn Evans and 1.1 seconds behind third placed Kalle Rovanpera when theY slid wide on a left hand corner and were pitched into the grass at the side of the road.
A hidden lump of concrete ripped the front left suspension unit off the car and into immediate retirement.

Both crew members are ok after the incident. They are awaiting a decision from M Sport bosses regarding continuing under SuperRally rules.
“No reason not to SuperRally,” said a source close to the team, “But haven’t confirmation from the team.”
