Motorsport connections to Killarney’s 4th of July celebration 

There  was large motorsport involvement in Monday’s 4th of July celebrations in Killarney. 

Enjoying the atmosphere at the Killarney 4th July Street Parade and celebrations, which kicked off on Monday afternoon in Killarney, with raising of the American and Irish Flag at the Town Hall. Celebrations include the Big Parade, An out-door cinema with air screening of the hit movie The Greatest Showman on the lawns of Killarney House and Gardens. Killarney Forestry Rally Clerk of the Course Dermot Healy was one of the parade’s organisers through his roles within Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce.

Rally drivers and motorcycle enthusiasts Kevin O’Donoghue, Colin O’Donoghue and Johnny O’Sullivan and his son Diarmuid were all part of the large motorcycle display in the parade.

Con and Andrew Duggan each drove a float during the event.

A fleet of US classic cars lead the parade from College St Upper to Market Cross.
