Two Kerry-based motor clubs get funding under Community Activities scheme for 2022
The two motor clubs in Kerry have received funding in the latest grant allocation in the Community Activities Fund for 2022.
The funding was announced by local TD Brendan Griffin on Friday.

Under the scheme Rally Promotions Ltd in conjunction with Killarney and District Motor Club received €3,550.00 to be put towards running costs.
Tralee Autosports Company Limited by Guarantee and t/a Kerry Motor Club will get €200.00 to be put towards running costs. The Tralee-based club had already received substantial funding in a previous scheme which was put towards the purchase of crowd control barriers which were used for the first time on The Mall in Tralee during the recent Déjà vu event.

“I wish to welcome the announcement by Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys TD, and Minister of State with responsibility for Community Development, Joe O’Brien TD, of €284,817 for 221 local projects under the 2021 Communities Activities Fund,” said Griffin.
“This is very welcome funding for Community groups who are struggling with the significant increase in running costs, I will be lobbying Minister’s Humphreys and O’Brien to open another round of this vital funding in 2022.”
