Moloney leads the New Zealand Rally championship category after opening two rounds
Noel Moloney is on target to retain his New Zealand Rally Championship Category 5 title.
After two of the five rounds of the 2022 New Zealand championship, the Duagh man is leading the championship.

He and his driver Dave Sievers won their category in the Rally of Whangarei, north of Auckland last weekend.

The Subaru Impreza crew finished 11th overall in the second round of the series.
“We had a brilliant close fight with Hayden MacKenzie and Michael Goodie,” explained Moloney.
“We had no issues on Saturday so gained more points for the championship. Going into Sunday we were 10thoverall. The stages were fast. David drove very well both days – a very sensible drive.”
The championship moves south to Timaru for Rally South Canterbury on June 18.
