Garda warning to modified car drivers
Gardai in Killarney have issued a warning to drivers of modified cars ahead of this weekend’s Rally of the Lakes.
The warning centres on insurance on cars that have been modified. It is a legal requirement to inform insurance companies if a car has been modified.
“We will be particularly vigilant in relation to enforcing the law and insurance when it comes to modified vehicles,” a garda spokesperson told Kerry Motorsport News.
“It is ok to modify a car but insurance companies must be informed. We want everyone to enjoy the rally but without anti-social behaviour on the roads and on the streets.”
