M-Sport place entry for Rally the Lakes in Ford Puma RC1 – team yet to nominate a driver for the event
The M-Sport Ford World Rally team has placed an entry for the April 29 to May 1 Rally of the Lakes.
Entries for the second round of the Irish Tarmac Rally Championship opened last week and organisers, Killarney and District Motor Club, are reporting unprecedented interest in the event.
Kerry Motorsport News can exclusively reveal that M-Sport has placed an entry for the rally.
So far, the Ford team is the only manufacturer to enter current World Rally Cars in national events.
Frenchman Pierre-Louis Loubet contested last month’s South Belgian Rally in the M-Sport Ford World Rally Team Ford Puma Rally1.

Greek privateer Jourdan Serderidis has also contested a Belgian Rally in a new Puma and is expected to enter both the Safari and Acropolis World rounds later in the year.
Current M-Sport crew Craig Breen and Paul Nagle won the last edition of the Rally of the Lakes in 2019 but the Cumbrian squad has yet to name its driver lineup for Killarney. The Irish event comes one week after Rally Croatia and three weeks before Rally of Portugal.
