At least three truckloads of emergency aid are on the way to Poland to help Ukrainian refuges thanks to the generosity of Tralee people.
Tralee-based trucking firm, O’Neill’s International Transport, organised the collection of good to help Ukrainian people who have been displaced from their country following last week’s invasion by Russia.
The initially planned to send of their trucks to the Warsaw area where the donated goods will be handed over to aid agencies there.

Such was the response to their appeal family run firm ended up sending three full truckloads of essentials to Poland.
O’Neill’s said they were blow away by the support.
Members of the public donated essential aid items like blankets, winter clothes, non-perishable foods, first aid, toiletries and nappies between 8am and 4pm every day this week. O’Neill’s International Transport is working with volunteers on the ground in Poland.
Just as newspapers and magazines are paid for, digital editorial content will also have to be paid for.
