Killarney and District Motor Club member Liam Moynihan is the second seed for Saturday’s Samsona’s Fivemile Town Rally.
The Millstreet man will be on Pacenotes duty for Cathan McCourt in their 2.0 Ford Fiesta – the same car they used in the early stages of last weekends’ unfortunate Killarney Forestry Rally.

On that event, the wiper motor failed in the Fiesta and Liam had to use a string attached to the linkages to clear the windscreen. They retired the car at the first service and before the event was officially halted due to the tragic incident.
The nine-stage rally gets underway at 9am Saturday morning from the Ecclesville Centre in Fivemile Town. The first car is due at the finish shortly after 3pm – competitors will tackle 60kms of forest roads during the day.
