Despite Storm Eunice battering the country last night, Killarney and District Motor Club officials say that Sunday’s rally will go ahead and the stages are “fully set to run”

Club members have been out in the forest since the Red Weather Warning lifted earlier today.
Debris from last night’s storm has been cleared – a track machine was on site last night before the storm hit making sure every road in the complex is passable.

“Let there be no doubt, we are running,” clerk of the course Dermot Healy said in a social media post.
“Preparations on stages have been going until very late last night and again today. We are delighted to be able to tell you as of lunchtime today that stages are fully set to run. bales, stakes , Arrowing etc are all in place. A huge thank you to Coillte and their contractors for putting in such a big effort. Also to my own setup team of Dave, Ger, Patie, Denis, Cyril and Bob and anyone else who has helped on stages for the huge effort they have put in over the last two days. The club is indebted to all of you.”
