The ‘International’ Killarney Forestry Rally
Sunday’s Killarney Forestry Rally will have an international feel to it.
Two drivers are flying in from the United States of America especially for the event.
Yonkers, New York-based Paul Rowley is seeded at 23 in his Ford Fiesta Rally2.

Paul has a wealth of rally experience, but this is his first Irish gravel rally.
However, he has plenty of loose surface driving experience in his homeland and since the pandemic set in he has contested 11 rallies stateside with his best result second overall on the Lake Superior Pro Rally last October.
He is no strange to Kerry either, he has twice contested the Kerry Winter Rally and has one Rally of the Lakes under his belt.
After the Killarney Forestry, his next event is the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood in Missouri over St Patrick’s weekend.
Patsy Keenan has placed a late entry for the event and while he will be slotted into the lower numbers his Mitsubishi Lancer E9 will carry a very high door number.
The Atlanta-based Fermanagh man has always been a great supporter of the Irish Forestry Rally championship and loose events in his native Northern Ireland.
He has contested the Killarney Forestry Rally on three occasions in the past – 2004, 2005 and 2007.
Adding to the international flair J Barry McCarney will make the trip from the Isle of Man to co-drive for Gareth Mimnagh in another Fiesta Rally2.
