Junior 1000 drivers’ social media video skills could earn them a free entry to the Killarney Forestry Rally

Are you one of the many Junior 1000 drivers entered into the Killarney Forestry on February 20.

Do you want a chance to win your entry fee back?

Killarney and District Motor Club, thanks to Dermot Healy Motors are giving you that chance.

Juniors need to send a short video clip of their plans for the rally – rules and contact details are published at the bottom.

A sample video can be viewed here:

This could help too during the application process for the Billy Coleman Award later in the year.

Each crew that enters the video competition and participates in the official ramp procedures on Saturday night will be entered into the draw.

The award is worth €495  – the cost of entering the Junior 1000 element of the rally.

“Due to the overwhelming reaction on social media to a short interview [the above video] with one of the Junior 1000 competitors last week it has been decided by KDMC that we need more of this type of positive social media in our sport,” said Dermot Healy.

Get your entries in – as a bonus Kerry Motorsport News will share all the video posts on our social channels too so don’t forget to mention sponsors!

CRITERIA TO QUALIFY FOR DRAW.

1. Send a short video, not more than four minutes telling us your story and dreams. Once your video is received the club will share your clip on its social media pages.

2. You will have to attend the ceremonial on February 19 at 8pm where our MC will do an interview with each crew. We plan to use some of this footage as part of our 30-minute YouTube program of the event.

4. The draw will take place on the ramp on Saturday evening

5. All video clips have to be emailed to killarneyforestryrally@outlook.com or by Whatsapp to 087 2574766 before February 8.
