As we arrive at the dawn of a New Year it is worth taking a look at the milestone on driver achieved last year.
Limerick-based, but Laois raised, Hal Lewis, marked his 50th year behind the wheel of a rally car.
He contested last week’s Boggeragh Rallysprint organised by Cork Motor Club, in his Ford Escort Mk2.

Co-driven by Kerry Motor Club’s Tommy Commane they finished 33rd overall and second in class in their Ford Escort.
