The first ever Cannonball 4×4 Overland will roll into Killarney on Friday evening.
The convoy of high-end off-road machines is due at the Great Southern Hotel around 430pm after following a route from the Wicklow Mountains and The Curragh of Kildare earlier in the day.
The bulk of action the Saturday action is based on the Ring of Kerry or roads near it.
The convoy will depart the Great Southern at 10 am and follow back roads, via BeallachOisin Pass to Waterville.
After a stop at Derrynane House the crews are expected at Dromquinna Manor around 12.35.

Departing the hotel at 2pm, the convoy will head towards the Blackwater Bridge for a crack at the challenging Ballaghbeama Gap.
At around 15:30pm the crews will arrive at the famous Kate Kearney’s Cottage before driving the Gap of Dunloe.

The cars are expected on the final challenge, Moll’s Gap around 430pm before arriving back in the Great Southern Hotel around 5pm. After dinner in the hotel, the crews will socialise in Reidy’s on Main St that night.
