Rally fans and fans of high performance road cars are in for a treat this weekend as the rally-derived Toyota Gazoo Racing Yaris is set to make its Kerry debut this weekend.
Kelliher’s Toyota is hosting a three day roadshow this weekend (more details on this event will be published later in the week) and the Yaris GR will be on show over all three days.
The car will go on show in Tralee on Friday and Saturday and at the Gleneagle Hotel on Sunday – more details on this roadshow will be published on Thursday but Kerry Motorsport News can exclusively reveal that Yaris GR is coming to the Kingdom for three days only.
Adored by automotive media and pure driving enthusiasts alike, the Toyota GR Yaris honours Toyota’s success in the World Rally Championship.

It was the passion of Toyota President Akio Toyoda himself that ensured the GR Yaris was put into production, a model that perhaps more than any other exemplifies his promise of “no more boring cars.” Designed and engineered with direct input from Toyota Gazoo Racing World Rally Team and their championship drivers, it’s a genuine thoroughbred, but with an affordable price tag.

Built on a bespoke platform, powered by an all-new 1.6-litre three-cylinder turbocharged engine and using a new GR-Four permanent all-wheel drive system, it brings rally-style handling and performance to a road-going supermini. Its quality is reflected in an ever-growing array of awards that attest to its giant-slaying character, regularly outperforming more powerful, exotic and costlier rivals.
