Kingdom Veteran, Vintage and Classic Car Club’s final event of the year at set for Faha on Sunday

The Kingdom Veteran, Vintage and Classic Car Club (KVVCCC) will host its final event of the season with a ‘Cars and Coffee’ event at the Faha Court Bar and Restaurant on Sunday.

Each month, from April to October, one member of the club steps forward to put on an event in their locality.

Sunday’s event is the turn of Tony Darmody who is better known locally for his roles on Listry Community Council.

As well as the static display, which gets underway at 10.30am, the club is also running an optional road-run from Listry to Tralee via Inch and Camp.

“We will depart around 12.30pm and stop along the route to take in the fantastic scenery along Dingle and Tralee Bays,” explained Tony.

He will field his exceptionally rare 1980 Renault 14 GTL in the event. It is the only one of its kind still on the road in Ireland.

“I had one of these in the 1980s,” added Tony. “It is a trip back in time for me.”

He was one of 105 drivers that participated in the club’s Kenmare Autumn Run on Saturday last.
