Tralee will host a major off road event next May.
More details of this event, including a charity partner will be announced in the coming weeks.
The ‘Selwyn Kendrick Memorial 4×4 Challenge’ will be a week-end event, which will be held from 6 – 8 May 2022 in the Kerry region, all proceeds from the event will be used to support the work of Irish cancer charities.
This charity event will start with off with 4×4 treasure hunt type event.
It includes one nights camping under the stars, culminating with a black-tie ball in The Rose Hotel.
The cost of a team registering a vehicle is €500 (fundraising) per vehicle. This will go straight to our chosen charity. The chosen charity will be revealed later this month and further details of the event will be announced at that time.
A registration fee of €130 also applies per person. This fee will cover a BBQ on the Friday night, a champagne reception and black-tie ball with accommodation on the Saturday night including breakfast on the Sunday. There are many prizes for different categories guaranteed. Teams/organisations can enter two people per vehicle
Kevin Jones, Director of Terrafirma Training said: “We are delighted to be in a position to honour our friend Selwyn and support this great charity. The event will be 4×4 based but not vehicle damaging in any way. It will include navigation, driving, first aid and teamwork skills to take on the many challenges set by the organising team. This is a team-building event which will reward all our frontline staff and key workers; full-time and volunteers alike.”
