Local resident in support of North Kerry off-road motorsport facility
A local resident who lives right beside the proposed off-road Motorsport Park in North Kerry has welcomed the plans but has warned that users of the facility must respect locals and behave on the approach road to and from the venue.
Robert Edmunds is a motorsport fan and a keen motorsport photographer.
The photos accompanying this article were taken by Robert who attended last weekend’s pilot event as a curious local.
Last weekend’s event was a pilot event to see if such a facility could work in North Kerry. Around 30 local moto-x riders were invited to sample the complex’s tracks and enduro trails.
“I really hope something happens up there soon,” he told Kerry Motorsport News. “It is a fantastic amenity and a shame to see it idle and going to waste. As long as the patrons and spectators continue to be respectful of residents and the locality.”
