Michael Fassbender took part in last Sunday’s official test ahead of this weekend’s 24 Hours of Le Mans 24.
He is not entered in the twice around the clock race but some of his Proton Competition colleagues from the European Le Mans series are.
However he drove the 77 car that Christian Ried, Jaxon Evans and Matt Campbell will drive in the race during the pre-event test Sunday.
A Proton Competition spokesperson confirmed that the Fossa man had drive the car but that fans will have to wait until the 2022 event before he makes his debut at the 24 hour race.
“Michael Fassbender joined crew #77 for Sunday test to practice and get more familiar to the track ahead of next year Le Mans 24 hours,” the spokesperson said. “This means that our followers and fans will have to wait next season to see him racing at the big one.”
