Ballymac Vintage launch: Run to help raise funds for the Help Rose Bloom campaign
Proceeds from the Kingdom Veteran Vintage and Classic Car Club’s 11th annual Ballymac run will go to the Help Rose Bloom campaign.
Help Rose Bloom has been set up by the O’Flaherty Family from Ballymac.
Their daughter Rose was diagnosed with Type 1 Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA1) a severe genetic condition that weakens muscles and causes problems with movement – when she was just nine months old.
SMA1 children typically have a life expectancy of just two years, but Rose has been defying medical odds ever since her diagnosis.
The local community has been raising funds to help her family gain access to vital medicines.
The vintage run will take place on August 8. A Cars and Coffee event will take place between 10am and 12 noon at O’Riada’s Bar, Ballymac, before the cars set off on a road run over a yet to be determined route. A separate Honda 50 run will take place on the same day
