Coyne on target for top 20 race finishes this season

Farranfore motorcycle racer Kevin Coyne is getting close to meeting his pre-season target of a top 20 finish in just his second race meeting of the year.

The Kawasaki Ninja rider is contesting the British Superstock 600cc class this year.

The second triple-header race weekend took place at Donington Park last weekend when Coyne shared track and paddock space with the stars of the World Superbike Championship.

He qualified in 19th place in one of his races over the weekend, meaning a race finish in the same position cannot be far away.

“What a weekend. What an experience,” said his father Mark.

“To finish all three races, qualify 19th in one of them. Considering Kevin is the least experienced rider out there, we’re so proud of his achievements this and last weekend.”

Their next race in the UK is in two weeks’ time at Brands Hatch.
