It is a busy time for local Hollywood star Michael Fassbender.
Last Sunday he contested the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup race at the Red Bull Ring in Austria as part of the support race package for the Austrian Grand Prix.
This weekend he is back on the European Le Mans series championship trail.
He was one of two invited guest drivers to contest the Austrian race where he finished in 24th place in a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup.
“My goal was to beat the other amateur guest driver Georgios Frangulis to the flag – and I did it,” said the German-Irish actor.
Looking ahead to this weekend’s European Le Mans Series at Monza, Italy, Fassbender said:
“My first race with the 911 RSR on this world-famous track was a great experience last year. I’ve learned a lot and hope that I can benefit from it this time,”
