Reduced membership fee gesture by Killarney and District Motor Club as it emerges from lockdown
Killarney and District Motor Club is offering half price membership to lapsed members as the club returns to some degree of normality after over 18 months of lockdown.
The club will host its Annual General Meeting, via Zoom, on June 22.
In an effort to encourage members back to the fold the club will offer free membership to all those who signed up in early 2020 and before the pandemic set in and disrupted club activities.
Previous members will be offered half price membership.
“Membership renewal is now due for 2021, due to the fact that we had virtually no motorsport activity in 2020, it has been decided that all members who did sign up in 2020 will now receive free membership for 2021,” said a club letter to all 2020 and 2019 members, “If you did not sign up as a member in 2020, then to encourage all those members to re-sign, there will be a 50 per cent discount in the membership fee for 2021.”
Further details of the club’s activities for the remainder of this year will be made public after the AGM.
