Murphy and Martin – the local motorcycle racers ahead in the sponsorship game.
Motorcycle racers Andrew Murphy and Samantha Martin have launched an impressive sponsorship proposal for the year ahead.
It is the perfect example of what every competitor, on two wheels or four wheels, should be doing in an effort to attract support for their racing careers.
Kerry Motorsport News has re-published the proposal here, with their permission, and while the risk is that everyone else will copy it, it does not take away the fact that they have made this massive effort and that they are very serious about the season ahead.
Murphy, from Limerick, is the son of former motorcycle road and track-racer Martin Murphy, and brother of former National 125 Champion Darragh.
Martin is Kerry’s first female motorbike racer. Samantha’s love of bikes grew from
her shared interest with her dad over numerous years. At 19, Samantha got her motorcycle road licence which further developed her interest and passion in the two-wheeled machines. When she met her partner Andrew, her interest started turning toward the track as she assisted him during a full race season in 2018.
The pair are committed to the Dunlop Masters Irish National Championship at Mondello Park and are hopeful of adding a few rounds of the Ulster Superbike Championship to their programme too.
