Kerry F1 engineer trackside at Bahrain pre-season tests this weekend

The rebranded Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One™ Team was launched on Wednesday of last week.

The team’s Senior Composite Designer is Sosanna Ni Dhubhain. Although reared in Rostrevor, County Down, her father Tomás Ó Dubháin, is originally from Smerwick Harbour in the west of the county.

She has been selected to attend the official F1 tests in Bahrain which gets underway on Friday marking the first time she will attend an overseas event with the team.

Working with the test team is the first step in making it to the fulltime race team and Sosanna is hopeful that that dream will become a reality before the end of the season.

“I am going as the reliability engineer, I still have to do my own job,” she said. “Just going to the test for now and then some races towards the end of the season so not fulltime race team yet.”
