Kerry Motorsport News is one year old today.
Our vision was simple – to give local motorsport a voice of its own while at the same time highlighting the great achievements of the county’s competitors – on two wheels and four – all over the world.
In that time, Kerry Motorsport News has published over 350 news stories – almost one a day in a year that nothing really happened.

We have covered Kerry motorsport competitors in
Andorra
Australia
Barbados
Belgium
Czech Republic
Estonia
Finland
France
Germany
Ireland
Italy
Latvia
Monaco
New Zealand
Portugal
San Marino
Spain
Sweden
United Kingdom and the United States of America
We have covered the World and European Rally Championship, the World Rallycross Championship, The European Le Mans Series and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

We have witnessed Kerry competitors race in such iconic venues and Brands Hatch and Silverstone on two-wheels or four.
In Motorcycle racing we have covered the careers of one young Kerry rider who made his debut in the British Super Bike series, reported on a Kerry rider who made his road race debut and extensively covered the Dunlop Masters Superbike series.

We cover industry news and keep more than a close eye on the local, thriving, classic and vintage scene.
Over 40,000 people have visited the site in the last year, from almost every country in the world and our social media reach is at over 25,000.
It would not have been possible without our loyal readers and motor clubs and their volunteers and of course Kerry-based competitors who fly the Green and Gold flag all over the world.
It has not been easy to keep track of everyone but it has been fun and will continue to do so for as many years to come as we possibly can.
The site will further expand in 2021, as hopefully Irish rallying resumes and our coverage will increase – before the lockdown we were on course for three news stories a day and that is out target for 2021 too.

With that in mind we are exploring the merits of a paywall, news gathering is not cheap, nor is the equipment we use, not to mention time.
From January 1 next year we will be inviting our readers and supporters to subscribe to our daily news feed – a couple of options are available to us – a full on paywall, a limited number of free items each month or a donation style contribution.
What we do know at this stage is that it will not be expensive, it will work out cheaper than a weekly newspaper.
In fact, we are inviting suggestions
Please see our online poll on Facebook for a number of options.
And thanks for being with us for the last 12 months.
Congratulations Sean, Keep up the good work and go from strength to strength. Regards Derek
