Road to Le Mans
The penultimate round of the European Le Mans series takes place this weekend at Monza in Italy and Michael Fassbender is back behind the wheel of his Proton Competition Porsche 911 RSR.
Fassbender, a bronze category driver, will share the car with German racer Felipe Laser (silver category) and Austria’s Richard Lietz (platinum category).

Their man goal this weekend will be to support their Proton Competition Porsche teammates and take valuable points from their championship rivals.
The lead of the LMGTE category is shared by the Proton Competition Porsche of Alessio Picariello, Christian Ried and Michele Beretta and the Kessel Racing Ferrari of Michael Broniszewski and David Perel.

Both crews have 56 points and with one win, one second, one fourth and one pole position each, they are incredibly difficult to split, with the no77 Porsche classified as leading the championship only by the fact their win in round one came before the no74 Ferrari’s victory at Spa-Francorchamps.
Round three winners Aaron Scott, Duncan Cameron and Corkman Matt Griffin in the no55 Spirit of Race Ferrari are 16 points behind the two leading cars on 40 points, while the all-female crew of double podium finishers Rahel Frey, Michelle Gatting and Manuela Gostner in the Iron Lynx Ferrari are on 38 points in fourth place.
The 4 Hours of Monza is the fourth race of the 2020 European Le Mans Series and will take place on Sunday.
