Belgian Rallying
Ray Hilliard’s ambitions of contesting his first Belgian rally are over thanks to new pandemic related restrictions that are coming into play all over Europe.
The London-based Listowel man had secured an entry for this weekend’s Monterberg Rally near Poperinge. However, Belgian motorsport authorities said last week that while the event could go ahead, it could do so without foreign entries.
Hilliard’s situation was further complicated when the British government announced that all arrivals from France would have to go into a two-week isolation period.

Hilliard, who is based near Luton, intended to travel to Belgium via the Dover-Calais ferry route.
