WORLD RALLYCROSS
The FIA World Rallycross Championship got underway this weekend at the Holjes circuit in Sweden.
The two-day event marks the return of Firies motorsport engineer Richard Browne who is charge of Johan Kristoffersson’s attempt to win a third world title.
Browne is an engineer with Volkswagen Motorsport in Hanover in Germany and was in Sweden to oversee Kristoffersson’s efforts.
Kristoffersson capitalized on wet conditions to take a dominant victory on Saturday ahead of round two on Sunday. Meanwhile Browne celebrated his birthday on Saturday – Happy Birthday!

PORSCHE CARRERA CUP GB
Lorcan Hanafin took his second podium of the season after finishing third in the opening Porsche Carrera Cup GB race at Oulton Park on Saturday.
This is first season in the Porsche series and his fifth race in the category. He took a podium in round three at Brands Hatch earlier this month.

Sunday’s race will be broadcast live on ITV 4 at 15.30hrs
BRITISH SUPERBIKES
Kevin Coyne’s second race meeting at British Superbike level is taking place this weekend at Snetterton in Lincolnshire and he already has one race under his belt in the HEL Performance British Junior Supersport class – a feeder series to the main BSB for 13 to 22 year-olds.

He started 27th after earlier suspension issues during practice and finished 22nd – just off his top 20 target for each event he tackles.
Sunday’s race is set for 17.20hrs.
