Memorial Road Run to Honour Late Rally Champion Katie Quinn

A memorial car run will take place this June to mark the second anniversary of the passing of Kerry Motor Club member Katie Quinn. Under the title “Forever the Tarmac Queen,” the event will raise funds for the Féileacáin charity, supporting those affected by stillbirth and neonatal death.
Katie Quinn passed away in June 2024 following a brief illness. A prominent figure in Irish rallying, she was the daughter of club director and veteran driver Mike Quinn. After beginning her career as a navigator, she moved into the driver’s seat in 2017 at the Garda Rally. Competing in a Honda Civic, she became a mainstay of the Top Part West Coast Championship and was a two-time Women in Motorsport Ireland Rally Champion.
The run is scheduled for Sunday, 7th June 2026. Registration will be held at O’Riadas Bar, Ballymacelligott, from 9:30 am to 11:00 am. Entry is €10 per vehicle, with a raffle also taking place on the morning. All proceeds from the day will go directly to Féileacáin
