Roots Drive UK Company to Sponsor Athea Road Races
The revival of the Athea Road Races has received a major boost as Kiely Bros, a UK-based infrastructure specialist, has signed on as a key sponsor for the 2026 event.
While Kiely Bros is a leader in carriageway surfacing and surface treatments across Britain, the company has deep ties to West Limerick. The family originates from Athea, and maintaining a connection to their home village remains a priority for the business.
The partnership is personal for the Kiely family; Lauren Kiely’s grandfather was a native of Athea. Supporting a major community event in his home place adds a significant layer of meaning to the sponsorship.
“Being able to support a community event in an area with such proud family ties makes this partnership particularly significant,” the company stated.
Known for their work in sustainable road maintenance and innovative surfacing products, Kiely Bros brings a reputation for technical expertise to the event. Their involvement provides a solid foundation for the South West Road Races as they return to the Athea circuit this September.
