TOP PART WEST COAST CHAMPIONSHIP PREPARES FOR 2026 OPENER AFTER JANUARY AWARDS
As the 2026 Top Part West Coast Rally Championship prepares for its opening round this coming weekend, the series reflects on its recent awards ceremony held in January. The event, which took place in Galway with 230 guests in attendance, celebrated the achievements of the 2025 season and recognized those who contribute to the management of the series.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the prestigious Dougie Hughes Award. This year, the accolade was shared by joint winners Senan Raggett of Kerry Motor Club and Wesley Roberts of Connacht Motor Club. The award is presented annually to acknowledge individuals who have demonstrated exceptional work and effort in the promotion and organization of the series, which remains one of the leading regional rally championships in Ireland.

Hazel Leonard, daughter of the late Dougie Hughes, presented the awards to both men. Senan Raggett serves as the championship committee secretary representing Kerry Motor Club, while Wesley Roberts represents Connacht Motor Club on the same committee. The Top Part Group has remained the title sponsor of the championship since its inception in 1993, marking over three decades of continuous support for regional rallying.
