Hyundai’s thoughts ahead of Rally Sweden
Thierry Neuville arrives in Sweden as the championship leader and is wary of the “snow-sweeping” challenge. Despite winning here in 2018, the Belgian notes that a fast car must be paired with precise road conditions to stay at the front.

Hyundai’s drivers' thoughts ahead of Rally Sweden

“Rally Sweden is generally consistent, but to win we need an easy setup that works well with studded tyres,” Neuville said. “If there’s fresh snow, you need maximum protection, but on solid ice, it’s all about a stiffer, more precise set-up. We’re targeting the win, but the challenge from Toyota will be tough.”

Fourmaux’s thoughts ahead of Rally Sweden
Adrien Fourmaux is banking on his strong road position to mount a challenge for his first WRC win. With less fresh snow expected, he anticipates grip levels may be lower than last year, requiring total commitment and a well-balanced car.

“You need a lot of commitment across all stages,” Fourmaux said. “We need precision so we can use the snowbanks without getting trapped. Unlike Monte-Carlo, this is a pure performance rally all weekend. With our road position, the aim is to go all out for the win.”

Lappi’s thoughts ahead of Rally Sweden
Defending Sweden winner Esapekka Lappi makes his highly anticipated return to the Rally1 seat. Partnered by Enni Mälkönen, the Finn believes his starting position deep in the field will be a major advantage if snowfall occurs before the first loop.

“I’m excited to drive at the top level again,” Lappi said. “Being Finnish, it’s not the most challenging rally for me, but the high speeds and lack of grip make it tricky. We will benefit if there is fresh snow, as the cars in front will clear the lines. I want to show commitment in every condition I face.”
