Hyundai Tucson Remains Kerry’s Top Choice as Drivers Eye Exclusive Models
HYUNDAI remains the dominant force in the Kerry motor trade as the first month of 2026 trading concludes, with the Tucson holding its position as the county’s most popular vehicle.

According to the latest figures for January, the Hyundai Tucson secured 63 registrations, accounting for a 7.29% share of the local market. The Toyota Yaris Cross followed in second place with 50 units, while the Kia Sportage rounded out the top three with 42 units sold.
While SUVs continue to lead the pack, the January data reveals a growing trend toward variety and exclusivity. While hundreds of the top-selling models will soon be familiar sights on Kerry roads, a number of buyers have opted for total uniqueness. Several models recorded just one single registration across the entire county for the month, including luxury options like the Porsche Taycan and Mercedes-Benz C-Class, as well as newer electric entries like the Jeep Avenger and Kia EV9.
The rise of the BYD Seal U into the top five is also a significant indicator of how quickly the market is shifting toward newer electric and hybrid brand
