Success as over 80 attend Kerry Motor Club Training / Killian Duffy night
Kerry Motor Club has described Monday night’s co-driver training seminar as a success after over 85 attendees packed the meeting room.
The event, led by the renowned Killian Duffy of OnThePaceNote, was organised following a surge in requests from club members for specialized training ahead of the 2026 season.
The large turnout forced organizers to manage a waiting list, proving the high demand for professional development within the local rallying community.
Killian Duffy extended his extensive world-level expertise to the room, covering a vast range of critical co-driving skills.
The presentation focused on the technical aspects of pace note delivery, the mental discipline required for high-level concentration, and the intricacies of the recce process.
Duffy’s ability to break down complex WRC-level systems into practical advice for club competitors ensured that everyone in attendance gained valuable insights into the craft.
The room was filled with a mix of seasoned navigators and complete newcomers, many of whom engaged in a detailed Q&A session following the main presentation. Every attendee left the venue with a deeper understanding of the professional standards required in a modern rally car.
The board of directors noted that the event replaced the usual monthly meeting to ensure the focus remained entirely on the educational aspect of the sport. Given the scale of the turnout and the positive feedback received, the club is now looking at further specialised training opportunities.
