Kerry Motor Club will host a dedicated co-driver’s workshop later this month as part of its ongoing efforts to support competitor development within the sport.

‘The Next Stage’, workshop will take place on Monday, January 26, at The Rose Hotel in Tralee, with a start time of 8.00pm and will run for about two hours.

The session is aimed at rally co-drivers of all experience levels, from newcomers to those already competing who wish to refine their skills.

The workshop will be delivered by Killian Duffy, a former international rally co-driver with event-winning experience.

Duffy is also well known as the founder of OnThePaceNote.com, which provides live rally coverage and pacenote systems used by competitors throughout Ireland and overseas.

The evening will focus on practical co-driving skills drawn from real rally situations, with emphasis on preparation, communication and the finer details that can make a difference on stage.

The session is designed to provide a hands-on insight rather than theory, based on Duffy’s experience at the highest levels of competition.

Kerry Motor Club chairman Sean Moriarty said the workshop came directly from member feedback.

“Members asked for a co-driver’s training course and we are delivering. It is a pleasure to welcome someone of Killian’s experience to Tralee to share his knowledge with our club,” he said.

Killian Duffy said he was looking forward to the event and engaging with local competitors.

“I’m really looking forward to the evening and meeting Kerry rally competitors. I’ll be sharing some of the tricks of the trade. It’s been a while since I’ve done something like this, so thanks to Kerry Motor Club for the invite,” he said.

The workshop is open to both Kerry Motor Club members and non-members.

Attendance is limited to 50 places due to room capacity, and pre-registration is required via Eventbrite, with places allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Kerry Motor Club membership for the 2026 season will also be available on the night from 7.30pm.
