360 Motorsport Park in Tralee has announced a dedicated rally test day for Saturday, January 17, as crews begin their final preparations for the upcoming Galway International Rally.
The event follows a successful pilot test day held in late November ahead of the Killarney Historic Rally. Building on the feedback from that session, organisers have confirmed that the January 17 date will once again utilise the 1.8km tar-and-chip stage. The layout is designed to be versatile, featuring four distinct loops that are rotated every 90 minutes to ensure drivers experience a variety of conditions and technical challenges.
The management at the Tralee-based facility highlighted that the upcoming test is specifically geared toward clubman drivers. The goal is to provide a safe and controlled environment where competitors can gain valuable seat time, test car setups, and improve handling skills without the high costs and logistical hurdles of hiring private roads.
During the previous pilot event, local drivers noted the benefits of the venue for identifying minor mechanical issues before a competitive start.
The stage incorporates the perimeter roads of the park and the existing drift figure-of-eight area, offering a mix of fast sections and tight corners.
Organisers confirmed that the session is an open shakedown day for those who want to experience the track in a manner similar to a track day.

Following the positive response to the initial sessions, the venue is looking toward establishing these rally shakedown days as a monthly fixture on the local motorsport calendar.
