The recent Carlow Car Club Christmas Rally Sprint at Mondello Park featured a unique gesture of thanks tied directly to last November’s Killarney Historic Rally.
London based rallycross stars Ollie and Patrick O’Donovan were among the unusual entries on the December 27 event as a direct result of their support for Belgian legend Patrick Snijers in Kerry.
The appearance of the father and son duo was arranged as a mark of appreciation for the Shannon Group.
The firm, headed by Ollie O’Donovan, was instrumental in supporting Patrick Snijers’ high profile entry in the Killarney Historic Rally last month.
Snijers campaigned a Fionnsport BMW M3 E30 on the Kerry stages with backing from O’Donovan’s London based company.
As a thank you for ensuring the European legend’s appearance in Killarney, the O’Donovans were facilitated with a drive at the Mondello Park sprint in the same BMW.
