Motorcycle racer Anthony O’Carroll has been named as one of the Radio Kerry and Fexco Kerry Heroes of 2025.
The annual award winners are individuals or groups who have shown outstanding community spirit, courage, and leadership over the last year in Kerry.
Anthony O’Carroll from Ballyduff was one of the leading names in motorcycle racing when her sustained serious injuries in a crash in the Isle of Man in July of last year.
He is currently continuing his recovery in the Brampton Rehabilitation Centre in Oranmore Co Galway,

There are eight award recipients.
The winners were announced on Kerry Today on December 23 and were honoured with a special programme on Radio Kerry. Anthony’s mother Mary and niece Ella accepted the award on Anthony’s behalf at the Tralee studio.
