This Saturday night marks the end of an era for the local rallying community as the Moriarty’s Central Car Sales Kingdom of Kerry Rally Championship holds the prizegiving event at The Anvil Bar in Keel.
The event will see Rob Duggan officially presented with the 2025 Kingdom of Kerry Rally Championship title. The prizegiving is open to competitors, families, and supporters from across the county.
The Anvil Bar, long associated with the local motorsport scene, is officially handing over ownership after 26 years. Club member and rally driver Stephen O’Connor and his mother Liz are stepping down, with the bar being taken over by David, Donna, and their family.
The bar has hosted several rally prize awards nights and the Deja Vu Tralee event. The late Craig Breen was a regular visitor, frequently attending awards nights and the Deja Vu event, where he famously pulled pints of Guinness behind the bar.
