Two pre-Christmas motoring events on this weekend
Motorsport and motoring fans have two local events to support this weekend, with Ballymac Vintage Club running its first Christmas Lights Run on Saturday and a charity Cars & Coffee meet followed by a Toy Run to University Hospital Kerry on Sunday.
Saturday – Ballymac Vintage Club Christmas Lights Run
Ballymac Vintage Club will hold its first Christmas Lights Run on Saturday, December 13, starting and finishing at Glenduff Manor, Kielduff.
The run is open to all vehicles — tractors, cars and motorbikes — and participants are encouraged to decorate their vehicles with Christmas lights.
Registration opens at 3pm and the run starts at 5pm.
Proceeds will go to the Children’s Ward at University Hospital Kerry and the Tralee/West Kerry branch of Multiple Sclerosis Ireland.
The route will leave Glenduff Manor, turn left before the main Tralee–Castleisland road, travel the length of the old Tralee–Castleisland road, briefly join the main road, then turn left at O’Riada’s before passing Clogher Church and returning to Glenduff Manor.

Sunday – Listowel Cars & Coffee and UHK Toy Run
On Sunday, local modified-car enthusiasts will host a Christmas “Cars & Coffee” meet in Listowel ahead of their annual Toy Run convoy to UHK.
The group, led by organiser Sam McElligott, is calling on the wider motorsport community to support the event. Money raised will be used to buy toys for the Cashel Ward at University Hospital Kerry.
Both events are open to the public, and organisers are encouraging as much support as possible in the run-up to Christmas.
