Kerry road racer Stephen Walsh on the double
Ardfert motorcycle racer Stephen Walsh was the sole Kerry competitor to collect awards at the Irish Classic Racing Association (ICRA) ceremony in Moira, County Down, at the weekend.
Walsh finished the season with a double podium result, securing third place in the 500cc Road Race Championship and a joint third place in the Short Circuit Championship.
Despite missing a few races earlier in the season due to preparation for the Isle of Man (IoM) Classic Manx Grand Prix, Walsh expressed his delight with the results.
The Kerry racer thanked local motorcycle race engineer Der Rahilly and his sponsor, Assured Power Generators from Lixnaw for their support throughout the season.
