BG Motors has been announced as an associate sponsor of the 2025 Killarney Towers Hotel Killarney Historic Rally.

The Killarney-based car sales business joins the O’Donoghue Ring Collection of Hotels as one of the main supporters of the traditional end-of-season rally, which will once again bring over 150 rally crews to the Killarney and Kenmare regions on November 29.
A number of new features have been added to the 2025 event, which is organised by Killarney and District Motor Club.

Most notably, the bulk of the competitive action will take place in the Kenmare area in memory of club member Mike Gaine, who was tragically killed in March of this year. His death remains part of an ongoing Garda investigation.

Mike was the very definition of a rally enthusiast, always ready to help competitors, co-drivers and spectators alike, and was a familiar face at events all around Kenmare. The 2025 route has been designed to recognise his lifelong contribution to motorsport in South Kerry.

After the traditional blast over Moll’s Gap early on Saturday morning, crews will head to a new service park at the Kenmare Mart. From there, they will tackle six special stages, three to be run twice, before returning to Killarney via a downhill run over the Gap in daylight.
Later in the evening, cars will gather for a media and regroup zone in Kenmare, before one final charge down Moll’s Gap under the cover of darkness. It will be the first time in nearly forty years that the famous stage has been run in the dark.
The Killarney Towers Hotel on College Street will again serve as rally headquarters, with sister hotels The Killarney Plaza and The Killarney Avenue also providing accommodation and support venues throughout the weekend. The official rally launch will take place on Sunday , November 16, when a host of features and star drivers will be confirmed, along with more details of the 2025 route and entertainment programme
